Where is the Caravelle now?

In October 2021 the Finnish airport company Finavia and Aviation Museum Society Finland agreed that the Society’s Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle III airliner will be placed on display at Turku Airport.

In early spring 2023 an area of 1 415 square metres was cleared for the aircraft, next to the maintenance road and a rocky wood-covered area. The area is well visible from the passenger terminal and those visiting the aircraft can utilise the terminal parking.

The Caravelle site is constructed so that the airliner’s nose is towards the terminal and airport area. The aircraft was assembled on concrete blocks under its landing gear, and it has been anchored to the ground. The area is fenced, and it is possible to visit the aircraft in the summer, during daily opening hours or by contacting us and arranging a special visit.
